Synopsis

Scoob! reveals how lifelong friends Scooby and Shaggy first met and how they joined with young detectives Fred, Velma, and Daphne to form the famous Mystery Inc. Now, with hundreds of cases solved and adventures shared, Scooby and the gang face their biggest, most challenging mystery ever: a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world. As they race to stop this global “dogpocalypse,” the gang discovers that Scooby has a secret legacy and an epic destiny greater than anyone imagined.

The Scooby Day proclamation states:

"Whereas, Scooby served as the Spearfish Police Department's Community Service Dog and was a beloved presence throughout the community; and

Whereas, Scooby, a rescue dog, was given a life of love, purpose, service, and adventure through the dedicated partnership of Officer Beal; and

Whereas, Scooby provided comfort, joy, and positive community engagement for residents and visitors of all ages; and

Whereas, through regular visits to businesses, schools, and community spaces over the next 3 years and 8 months, Scooby became a cherished part of daily life in Spearfish;

Now, therefore, I, John Senden, Mayor of the City of Spearfish, South Dakota, do hereby proclaim March 15, 2026, as "Scooby Day" in the City of Spearfish and encourage all residents to recognize Scooby's legacy of kindness, service, community connections, and the importance of rescue animals."
